Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
« on: July 21, 2018, 03:45:17 PM »
This is a technical expression for how Websites are ranked by Search Engines world wide.

Search engine optimization ( SEO ) is the process of affecting the online
visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine 's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural", " organic ", or "earned" results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a website appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users; these visitors can then be converted into customers. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search , video search ,
academic search, [2] news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. SEO differs from local search engine optimization in that the latter is focused on optimizing a business' online presence so that its web pages will be displayed by search engines when a user enters a local search for its products or services. The former instead is more focused on national or international searches.

All major search engines such as (Google) , (Bing), (Ask) and (Yahoo) have primary search results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads .

This is achieved by various technicalities. Ranging from essay/post presentations, key words, photos, tags etc.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, the computer programmed algorithms which dictate search engine behavior, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines, and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, adding content, doing HTML , and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic. By May 2015, mobile search had surpassed desktop search. [3] In 2015, it was reported that Google is developing and promoting mobile search as a key feature within future products. In response, many brands are beginning to take a different approach to their Internet marketing strategies.

SEO determines which site comes up when a particular phrase, word, sentence is searched on Google, Ask, Bing, Yahoo etc. Search Engine Optimization is responsible for site popularity.

Neymar primed for World Cup clash against Mexico: Tite

Brazil’s forward Neymar is seen during a training session of Brazil national football team at Yug Sport Stadium, in Sochi, on June 19, 2018, ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup football tournament. / AFP PHOTO
Brazil coach Tite says Neymar is back to his best as the five-time champions take on Mexico here on Monday for a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.
Neymar has made a slow start to the tournament, showing glimpses of skill but drawing criticism for diving in an attempt to win a penalty against Costa Rica.
But the Paris Saint-Germain forward has steadily silenced his detractors, scoring Brazil’s second goal in a laboured 2-0 win over Costa Rica before providing the corner for Thiago Silva’s powerful header that capped a valuable 2-0 win over Serbia.
Four years after a 7-1 humiliation by eventual champions Germany in the semi-finals, Brazil have emerged as one of the most rounded teams still in the competition.
And Neymar, said Tite, is more than ready following his return from a lengthy injury lay-off shortly before the tournament.
“Now, he’s returned to a very high level,” Tite said at Samara Arena on Sunday. “He’s played a lot… I told him, and he knows, about the price he’s had to pay to get back to this level.
“We knew he would need to play a few games, but he’s back.”
Tite meanwhile confirmed his starting 11 on the eve of the match, bringing in Filipe Luis for Marcelo, who hobbled off with back spasms against Serbia.
Tite said Marcelo had been desperate to play in the last 16 clash.
“We can’t take any risks in such an important game. We don’t pay for health care,” Tite said.
Meanwhile, Brazil defensive linchpin Thiago Silva said he hoped Neymar would follow in the footsteps of PSG team-mates Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria, who scored five goals between them in Saturday’s last 16 games.
“Yesterday when the games finished I thought… maybe in our game it’s going to be the same with Neymar,” Silva said.
“We hope we’ll be as inspired as those other strikers.”
Yet Silva quickly underlined the threat of the determined Mexicans, who helped eliminate defending champions Germany in the first phase.
“It will be a difficult game. Mexico have so far shown they deserve to be here, as do we,” added Silva, who identified El Tri’s record scorer Javier Hernandez as the danger man.
“I know Chicharito (Hernandez) well, and we know about his qualities. We have to minimise the possibility for the ball to get through to them,” Silva said.

News / Sharing recovered $350m Abacha loot ill-advised
« on: July 01, 2018, 07:45:55 PM »

A human rights advocacy group , Socio - Economic Rights and Accountability Project , has advised the Federal Government against sharing the recovered $ 350 m (about N 115 bn) Sani Abacha loot among households in 19 states across the country.
According to the group , the Federal Government plans to share the recovered N 115 bn among 300 , 000 households in 19 states with each getting N 5 ,000 .
But in a statement on Sunday by its Deputy Director , Timothy Adewale , SERAP contended that the planned spending was not only ill- advised but also discriminatory against citizens in the 17 excluded states.
The group contended that apart from the fact that the N 5 ,000 would not make any significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, the planned sharing was also subject to abuse by state governors who may ensure that only their acolytes benefit.
SERAP said rather than share the N 115 bn among households , the money should be spent on education , health care and provision of social amenities, especially water.
It advised the Federal Government to source fund for its National Social Safety Net Programme from another source.
SERAP said, “The authorities should do the right thing with the returned loot and show Nigerians that they can properly and efficiently invest the funds in projects that would provide tangible benefits to the victims of corruption who are the socially and economically vulnerable sectors of the population .
“The authorities can use the loot to fund universal health care programme and a tuition assistance programme that would provide post-secondary / university education scholarships to young Nigerians from poor families and who would otherwise lack the resources to carry out their studies.
“In any case , sharing the returned loot to households in 19 states because the remaining 17 state governments have not yet put in place the appropriate platform through which to implement the NAASP is both unfair and discriminatory.
“The planned distribution is also vulnerable to abuse and corruption by state governors , who may push for the funds to be given to their supporters and thus used for parochial and political purposes . The proper and efficient spending of recovered funds is key for development and can support efforts to combat grand corruption .
“Spending returned looted funds offers an opportunity to right wrongs committed by corrupt officials , rebuild public trust , and invest in the development of communities most affected by grand corruption in the country to improve the prospects for meeting many of the Sustainable Development Goals . ”

Love/Romance / Most Erotic Poem on Facebook
« on: February 17, 2018, 09:18:18 AM »
Nwandugo Osinachi
lick the waters in my vagina
and satisfy my queer orgasm
now my body is a tempo, dousing in reverberation
your tongue, may it be an ice falling rhythmically like Soweto drums; matching elegantly on curious ears
may it be an ice cooling my embers
caress it thorough, my pudenda,
with your fingers heavy like a burden
of which my milk industrys are walked upon, and my n*pples pinched
your grease melting me like a wax
may these fingers never cease running swift; chastening and purifying me
this hot water tasted on a soar wound
a gospel resting recklessly on lover's arms
as your plume fans life into mine
dip your fingers in my orifice,
and nip the bud of my virginity
so blood gush in abundance
so pain whisper to the ears of darkness
harder, as I lie harmless on my back
the language of lust, clothing my nudity
swift, vast.
may my clitoris never be hidden
strike it , with your soft rod
like words hitting words
like tide meeting the current of a sea
strike, punch, locomote.
paint the lips of my vagina with your sperm
let nothing ever be hidden from me
for I want to taste within and beyond
life, dead, life again, dead in your laps.
let nothing ever be hidden.
tender, soft.
water me, for I am a nursery
on the lip of a shallow dry pool
let me feel wet with your songs; the rhythms of your lips pressing hard on mine
your hands clingy on my milk industrys
your thighs embracing mine, like a jazz
water me
yells, moans.
I want to feel your shadows thrust to mine
so I moan relentlessly
I am yours, priceless as a gift
a clay in your hands, mould me to any shape of your wish
let you satisfy my orgasm
now my body is a tempo, dousing in reverberation

Poetry & Spoken Words / Power Needs by Uyi Iredia
« on: February 09, 2018, 03:18:13 PM »
### Power Needs

Power needs love to sway it from inhumanity,
Power needs humility, that way it's unassuming,
Power needs democracy otherwise, it's autocracy,
Power needs the law, for whence it gets its structure,
Power needs the media, they tell us its legacy,
Power needs lies when desperately not yet had,
Power needs weapons to help dictatorship,
Power rests in the few who control the many,
Power heeds good advice so it achieves prosperity,
Power needs friends otherwise it's depressing,
Power demands responsibility otherwise it's abused,
Power with religion is a volatile mixture,
too much experience tells us that's a bad future,
Power with madness is a recipe for disaster,
Power needs self-control, otherwise it's untethered,
dancing to and fro, to the whims of selfish men,
Power recognizes God its source, it needs that reminder,
Power needs the truth so it roots out corruption,
Power that is partisan always guarantees friction,
Power tests your mettle, so your spirit needs be settled,
Power needs a man, whose strength beats beneath his milk industrys,
Power needs a woman, their support and their loving
Power needs a soul otherwise it is not yet made whole,
Power for the youth, for they are your tomorrow,
give them power now while you are here to guide them,
Power needs the people, otherwise it is nothing,
Power you can have, but know it's not everything,
For power without wisdom is a song of tragedy.

Ejiofor Jeanne-Natasha Joan-Aries tagged the affected individual,
Osula Daniel Enahoro on Facebook.
below is the post:

Osula Daniel Enahoro was arrested yesterday and nobody knows his whereabouts.
His crime?
Standing up for his rights.
Refusing to be subjugated.
Speaking out against injustice.
His punishment?
A deliberate 'F' in his final year.
Several meetings with the school panel which were all unfruitful.
An extra year.
Eventually, rustication in 500 level, for 'breaching of matriculation oath.'
Delta State University.
Full story?
His Facebook timeline.
This is horrible. We live in a country where absolutely nothing works.
Our leaders have failed us.
The system has failed us.
Daniel has continually been hunted by his former lecturers because he refused to keep silent in the face of oppression.
He promised not to take his undeserved rustication lying down?
Who would?
His arrest is the height.
He hurriedly made a post about it yesterday and that was the last time anyone heard from him.
His phone is switched off.
Please, this is me appealing to anybody who knows anybody who knows anybody.
Daniel's life is in danger.
If nobody speaks up, he might lose it and become another statistic.
Share if you can.
Write about it, if you have a blog.
Give him a voice.
The story is on his timeline.
Then, if you're friends with this young man, we should not just keep quiet.
In my opinion, if nobody hears from him today we should start a hashtag movement on Twitter.
At least, we know the story.
We know what the evil HOD that started all this, looks like.
We know the power of social media.
If anything happens to Daniel, Delta State University will have a lot of questions to answer.
Nothing works in this country.
For the first time in a long long while, I woke up extremely sad.
Please, if you are capable of helping Daniel, do not ignore this.
He's a promising young man who has been through a lot; a whole lot.
I've personally heard his story, so I know.
He does not deserve this inhumane treatment that DELSU has meted out.
